The Indian cricket team is the national cricket team of India. Shubman Gill is a young Indian cricketer who is considered one of the most promising talents in the country. He was born on September 8, 1999 in Fazilka, Punjab, India. Gill began his cricketing journey at a very young age and quickly made a name for himself in the junior cricket circles.


Gill made his debut for the Indian under-19 team in 2017 and played an instrumental role in India's victory at the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He scored 372 runs in the tournament, including a century in the final, and was named the Player of the Tournament.


Following his performances in the Under-19 World Cup, Gill was included in India's squad for the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He made his List A debut for Punjab in the tournament and scored his maiden century in just his second match. He also became the youngest player to score a century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.


In October 2018, Gill was named in India's squad for the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy and made his first-class debut for Punjab in November 2018. He scored his maiden century in first-class cricket in his second match and ended the tournament with 728 runs at an average of 104. He was the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament.


In December 2018, Gill was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders for the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL) for a sum of 1.8 crores. He made his IPL debut in 2019 and played a crucial role in his team's run to the playoffs. He ended the tournament with 296 runs at an average of 42.28.


In 2019, Gill was named in India's squad for the 2019-20 Duleep Trophy. He scored his second first-class century in the tournament and ended with an average of 63. He was also named in India's squad for the 2019-20 Deodhar Trophy, where he scored a century in the final and helped his team win the tournament.


In February 2020, Gill was named in India's ODI squad for their series against New Zealand. He made his ODI debut on February 5, 2020 and scored 45 runs in his first match. He was also named in India's T20I squad for the series and made his T20I debut on February 8, 2020.


Gill is known for his aggressive and fearless approach to batting, and his ability to score runs at a quick pace. He is also a very good fielder and is considered to be one of the best young talents in Indian cricket.
